Explosions in Beirut’s southern suburbs

Multiple explosions were seen and heard in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday (November 6) evening, as Israel continues hostilities against Hezbollah, Reuters reports.

Earlier on Wednesday Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem said there could be a road to indirect negotiations through the Lebanese state, but only if Israel decided to stop its attacks on Lebanon.

The renewed strike comes after Hezbollah said that it fired missiles at a military base near Ben Gurion Airport, Israel’s main international gateway.

More than 3,000 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon over the last year, the vast majority of them in the past six weeks, as Israel ramped up its air campaign across the country.
