Meeting of European Political Community, 7 November 2024
The fifth meeting of the European Political Community will bring together leaders from across the continent in Budapest, Hungary.
The leaders will discuss Europe’s security challenges, including Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing escalation in the Middle East, irregular migration and issues related to economic security and connectivity in terms of energy, transport, IT and global trade.
The EU is represented by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
47 heads of state and government are invited to take part in this fifth meeting of the European Political Community, from EU27 member states, Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
The European Political Community aims to foster political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest, strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent.
This platform for political coordination does not replace any existing organisation, structure or process, nor does it aim to create new ones at this stage.
So far, the European Political Community has met four times.
The next European Political Community meeting will take place in Albania in spring 2025.
