Lasha Darsalia, Georgia’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated at the “Yerevan Dialogue” conference that the significance of the South Caucasus as a crossroads between East and West is growing in the changing world. According to him, the “Middle Corridor,” as a crucial link for trade between East and West, is now one of the primary factors in the regional politics.

 

Referring to cooperation between the South Caucasus countries, Darsalia noted that Tbilisi has good relations and is developing strategic partnerships with both Yerevan and Baku.

 

“When discussing regional cooperation, it is important to emphasize that all stakeholders have the responsibility to engage in this cooperation and manage their interests,” said Georgia’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

 

He highlighted the importance of the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey normalization processes, adding that they open new doors for regional cooperation. Darsalia stated that Georgia is willing to play a role in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, supporting the efforts of other partners. According to him, Georgia is offering regional cooperation, which can also contribute to the bilateral normalization.
