German Ambassador to Baku summoned to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

German Ambassador to Baku Ralph Harlemann has been summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

 

During the meeting, a strong protest was expressed regarding the publication made on the social media page of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

 

He was conveyed a strong note of protest regarding the publication of the Nagorno-Karabakh flag by the German President on the social media, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

 

It is noted that the ambassador was informed that during his visit to the region, this, in their opinion, blatant political provocation is unacceptable, and the German side must publicly apologize for the publication.

 

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is in Yerevan on a regional visit, published a photo with the Nagorno-Karabakh flag on his social media and touched upon the topic of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.

 

The German President is scheduled to visit Baku as part of the regional visit.
