Azerbaijan once again accuses French President Emmanuel Macron of pro-Armenian bias

Azerbaijan has once again accused French President Emmanuel Macron of pro-Armenian bias.

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aykhan Hajizada said Macron’s remarks from UN podium are “yet another example of France’s biased pro-Armenian approach to both our country and the peace process in genera.”

According to the spokesman, “it is unacceptable that France, which is preparing Armenia for revanchism while extensively arming it, accuses Azerbaijan of coercion.”

“We urge an immediate halt to damaging actions of France in our region, considering that its foreign policy has failed in many regions of the world,” Hajizada added.

The comments come after Macron reiterated his support to Armenia late on Wednesday, announcing from UN podium that “France stands firmly alongside Armenia in the face of pressure from Azerbaijan and territorial tensions”.
