During the 12 days of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, Budapest has caused great damage to the community, the representative of the German Foreign Ministry stated during the briefing.
 
“We have to see how Hungary’s presidency of the EU Council will turn out in the future. Now we are on the 12th day of Hungary’s presidency, and it has already caused great collateral damage,” the official said.
 
At the same time, the representative of the German Foreign Ministry stated that he is not aware of the plans of the representatives of Hungary to participate in EU events as a country presiding over the EU Council.
 
Hungary assumed the presidency of the EU Council on July 1. On July 2, the country’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Kyiv, met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, on July 5, he met with the Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, then he was in Beijing and met with the Chinese President Xi Jinping. As part of his visit to the USA, Orban met with former US President Donald Trump in Florida on July 11.
