Parties agreed to create operational channels of communication to resolve possible differences in spirit of friendly relations: Kopyrkin

In an interview with TASS, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin addressed the journalist’s concern as to whether there is a threat to the broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Armenia, as the Armenian authorities have made a number of critical statements regarding the work of Russian TV channels in recent weeks.

“The agreement of December 30, 2020 on cooperation in the field of mass communication is valid between our countries, and within its framework, on December 14 of this year, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communication and Mass Communication of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia held bilateral consultations. During the negotiations, the Russian delegation listened to the arguments of the Armenian partners and took note of their concerns. It is important that during the consultations the parties agreed to create operational channels of communication to resolve possible differences between our countries in the spirit of friendly relations,” said the Russian ambassador.
