US calls on Azerbaijan to respect human rights of its citizens
US Embassy in Baku expressed concern about the arrests of journalists in Azerbaijan.
“We are deeply concerned by the arrest of Hafiz Babali as well as the recent trend of detaining journalists. We continue to urge the Azerbaijani government to respect the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all, including those exercising freedom of expression and freedom of the press,” U.S. Embassy Baku stated in X (former Twitter).
