Number of victims of earthquake in Syria reached 800 people
The number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey has reached 1,541, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said. The country’s emergency department reported 9,733 injured. According to the agency, 2,824 buildings collapsed.
In Syria, where the earthquake hit the northern part of the country, according to the latest data, more than 780 people were killed, 2280 were injured, houses were partially or completely destroyed in 58 Syrian settlements, mainly in the northwest of the country, including Latakia.
