Iran’s top security official warns of ‘new fronts if US makes another mistake’
Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei has warned that any further miscalculation by Iran’s adversaries would lead to new fronts and larger surprises, IRNA reported.
“Every miscalculation by the enemy against Iran has resulted in a heavy defeat for it,” Rezaei wrote on social media platform X on Monday. “The next mistake will open new fronts and bring bigger surprises.”
Rezaei said Iran would overcome the current complex circumstances with the wise leadership of Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, national unity and coordination among state institutions.
Iran’s president also expressed concern that the United States is attacking the Islamic Republic at the very moment when negotiations are beginning.
According to Masoud Pezeshkian, it is pointless to negotiate with Washington as long as the American side threatens Iran with attacks and sanctions.
“Their goal is to overthrow our political system,” Pezeshkian added.
At the same time, Donald Trump once again did not rule out that the conflict could end before the congressional midterm election scheduled for November in the United States or after it. According to the White House chief, everything will come to an end very quickly one way or another.
