EU and CoE call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to ban the death penalty in all circumstances

The Council of Europe and the European Union issued a joint statement. 

 

“We call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to accede to Protocol 13 to the European Convention on Human Rights – banning the use of the death penalty in all circumstances -without delay” the joint Tweet said.
