Power supply is gradually being restored in Kyiv and regions of Ukraine
“As of 14.00, power supply to critical infrastructure has been restored in Kyiv, Kyiv and Dnipro regions. The next step will be to gradually supply power to household consumers. In Kharkiv, Zhytomyr and Odesa regions, power is already being restored to people,” the official said.
According to the minister, the power system is functioning as a whole, and dispatchers of the national operator Ukrenergo keep the situation under control.
However, Shmyhal added, there is still a significant power shortage, with a number of regions remaining on emergency schedules.
Meanwhile, the Kharkiv Metro reported on the resumption of traffic: the intervals are 25-35 minutes, and trains also run outside the weekend schedule.
Earlier in the Kyiv subway ceased movement of trains and escalators due to power outages.
Also by lunchtime, Kyivvodokanal wrote that due to an accident in the power grid, there is no water supply in all districts of the capital.
