Iranian President signs decree on national currency denomination

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has signed a decree on the national currency denomination. The reason is the high level of inflation in the country – 38.9 percent.

The transition period will last three years; for now, the use of both old and new types of banknotes is allowed.
