President of UN General Assembly should not have deleted tweet about visiting Armenian Genocide Memorial: Pallone

Abdullah Shahid, President of the UN General Assembly, should not have deleted his post about visiting the Armenian Genocide Memorial, US Congressman Frank Pallone stated.

“33 countries, including the United States, have formally recognized the Armenian genocide. The UN should not be complicit in Turkey’s rejection of history. President of the United Nations General Assembly Abdulla Shahid was wrong for deleting his tweet and capitulating to pressure from Turkey,” Pallone tweeted.
