Trump pledged to convey outcome of his conversation with Putin to Kyiv: Ushakov

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov commented on the phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. Ushakov noted that, during the conversation with Trump, Putin accused Kyiv of escalating the conflict and prolonging it.

“Although the possibility of resuming trilateral negotiations involving the United States and Ukraine had been discussed during the presidents’ previous conversation, the situation is now different, given Ukraine’s strikes on Russian territory,” Ushakov said.

According to him, Donald Trump pledged to convey the outcome of his conversation with Putin to Kyiv.

“The presidents’ conversation was substantive, friendly, I would say, and lasted an hour and a half. Neither of them wanted to be the first to hang up,” the Russian presidential aide concluded.
